fusion of arts and science exploring insect behaviour
to inspire a creative team of artists, scientists, graduates
and young dancers who have created a visual high quality
engaging interactive dance performance CD.
It
involves the University of Plymouth Biological Sciences
department, the University of Plymouth Press, Peninsula
Arts, the Plymouth Youth Dance Company and the Barbican
Theatre.
Syncapoda
opened at the Barbican Theatre with a Live Weekend on
the first week of June 2006 with performances and workshops
for schools.
The
music, composed by professional musicians Chartwell
Dutiro and John Matthias, with the contribution of Jean
Lewis, is Free to schools.
